'Sharpshooters Eight beating H.A.C. by 3 feet', 1938

Photograph, 1938.

Most British regiments had rowing teams. Here the rowing eight of 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) are depicted setting off for a race on the River Thames during the 1938 Henley Regatta. 3rd County beat the Honourable Artillery Company's eight by three feet.

From a photograph album containing 328 photographs compiled by Major W H J Sale, MC, 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), 1938-1940.
