'Sick parade in the bullrushes', Sicily, 1943

Following the battle for the Primosole Bridge the war diary of the 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) tracks the movement of the unit as it tried to repair tanks and prepare for German counterattacks. The entry for the 21 July 1943 reads, 'At 2000 the Sqn moved into cover along the north bank of the river Simeto'. Sale names four soldiers pictured, 'Bill Sillar', 'Tom Morie', 'Geof', and 'Nick Barney'.
