M4 Sherman tanks and crew of 'C' Squadron 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) line up for an inspection by Brigadier John Cecil Currie (1898-1944), the commander of 4th Armoured Brigade. Currie would also lead 4th Armoured Brigade in Normandy where he was killed in action. Other officers named are Lieutenant-Colonel Allan Alexander 'Sandy' Cameron (1910-1978), Major Robert Frank Gale (1919-1944) and Captain James.
Lieutenant-Colonel Allan Alexander 'Sandy' Cameron (1910-1978) was awarded the Military Cross and bar and the Distinguished Service Order (DSO), serving with 4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) in North Africa, 1941-1943. Cameron took over command of 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) in Sicily in 1943. He was awarded a bar for his DSO for his actions at Termoli during the campaign on mainland Italy.
