The officers are named as G H (Tony) Copson. Freddie Crowley, Robert 'Bobbie' Frank Gale (1919-1944), Philip Pearson, David Lloyd. Geofrey William Hird, and Peter (Pootle) Powell in camp, prior to departure from Italy.
On 13 January 1944 most of the 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) personnel, leaving their vehicles, moved from Lucera to Taranto by train. The bulk of 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), along with Headquarters, 4th Armoured Brigade, and the Royal Scots Greys sailed from Naples for the United Kingdom on the Merchant Vessel Tegelberg, on 28 January 1944. Other elements of the Sharpshooters travelled on the HMT Orion in the same convoy, numbered MKF28.
