The regiment regrouped in the town of Sonnis in Belgium where they took over the old cavalry barracks between 10 and 14 March, in preparation for their move towards the crossing of the Rhine. The regiment's Sherman tanks were augmented by a number of replacement tanks that they took on from 44th Royal Tank Regiment.
