In the last weeks of World War Two (1939-1945) 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) were in action in Lower Saxony. The Sharpshooters war diary records 'B' Squadron acting in support of infantry occupying the village of Jeddingen on 20 April 1945. Opposition was very light and 30 prisoners of war were taken by 'B' Squadron at a road block.
