'C' Squadron crossing the River Elbe at Geessthact, 1945

Although detachments of 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry had crossed the Elbe on 30 April the majority of the regiment crossed on 3 May 1945 via a Class 40 Bridge that had been erected by the divisional engineers.
