Alexandria Sporting Club, Egypt, 1942

According to the unit's war diary, 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) arrived in Sidi Bishr, near Alexandria, by road and rail in early February 1942. The unit trained at Sidi Bishr Camp, attending lectures on gunnery and mechanics and undertaking exchange visits with the Royal Navy. The unit moved its tanks on to Beni Yusef at the end of March 1942.
