'On the flats', Crusader tanks and crewmen of 3rd County of Yeomanry, 7th Armoured Division, being transported across the desert by rail, North Africa, 1942

Some of the soldiers are named, 'Brian', 'Mike' (Michael Carter) 'Arthur', 'Geof' (Geof Fiske, 'Bill' (Bill Palmer) and 'Norrie' (Norrie Allison). Palmer was later killed inSicily and Carter died of wounds during the campaign on mainland Italy.
