Some of the soldiers are named, 'Brian', 'Mike' (Michael Carter) 'Arthur', 'Geof' (Geof Fiske, 'Bill' (Bill Palmer) and 'Norrie' (Norrie Allison). Palmer was later killed inSicily and Carter died of wounds during the campaign on mainland Italy.
