Crusader tank and crew, 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), North Africa, 1942

The tank crew are named as 'Jimmy Glassborow', 'Freddie Dressel', 'Chris Wrey'. and 'Ron Grant'.

'Jimmy Glassborow', probably Corporal Harold Leslie Glassborow, and Trooper Frederick Dressel, who were both killed in action on 5 June 1942, fighting in 'the Cauldron', part of the Allied defensive line at Gazala. Chris Wrey (second from right) was later badly wounded in Sicily in 1943.
