Two members of the County of London Yeomanry, 'Jacko' and 'Pootle', on a beach in North Africa. Peter Powell was nicknamed 'Pootle'. As with a number of officers in the Sharpshooters, he rose from the ranks, becoming a captain, and was awarded the Military Medal during World War Two.
