Army Book 129 containing notes on horse management delivered by Professor Butler during a course at the Army Veterinary School, Aldershot, 4 March to 20 April 1895
The notes were made by Shoeing Smith William Edward Adams, 39th Field Battery, Royal Artillery, Woolwich (later Farrier Sergeant in The Lancashire Fusiliers) and cover the anatomy and illness of horses, besides details on shoeing and the treatment of wounds and injuries, including a list of drugs employed.
