Formation badge of Eastern Command, 1939 (c)
Eastern Command's wartime headquarters was at Luton Hoo in Bedfordshire. Its administrative territory covered East Anglia and the Midlands. On the outbreak of war in 1939 its commander was Lieutenant General Sir Guy Williams. The formation's emblem was the British bulldog.
