12th Royal Lancers crossing the German Frontier, 1 December 1918

The 12th (Prince of Wales's) Royal Lancers crossed into Germany just over three weeks after the Armistice came into effect. They had spent the whole of World War One on the Western Front serving with the 2nd Cavalry Division.
From a collection of 36 photographs collected by Farrier Sergeant J Wyvill, 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys) and 12th (Prince of Wales's Royal) Lancers.
