Gold Coast Regiment resting in a village, 1906 (c)
Photograph, West Africa, 1906 (c).
Soldiers of the Gold Coast Regiment rest in a native village after a long day's march. They wear khaki fatigues and fez-style hats, but lack boots as these were never worn in the men's civilians life.
From an album of 238 photographs taken and collected by Colonel O M Harris, Royal Artillery 1897-1914.
