'Carriers arriving in Coomassie' (Kumasi), 1909 (c)

Carriers of the Gold Coast Regiment, recruited locally in the Gold Coast (now Ghana), carry supplies into Kumasi, the old Ashanti capital of the region. The regiment was made up of one battalion of infantry and one battery of artillery.
