A wounded prisoner near Potijze, 20 September 1917
Lantern slide, World War One, Western Front (1914-1918), 1917.
A young German prisoner photographed during the opening phase of the Battle of Menin Road (20-26 September 1917). He was one of around 3,000 prisoners captured by the British, Australian and South African troops involved in the operation.
