Field service forage cap, standard type, 30th (Punjab) Regiment of Bengal Infantry, 1900 (c)
Dark blue melton cap with gold braid piping, gilt quarter ball buttons with silver plate mounts, each with the 'QVC' over regimental number, '30', with a scroll with the title, 'Punjab Infantry'.
With its origins in the Indian Mutiny of 1857, the 30th (Punjab) Regiment of Bengal Infantry saw active service on the North West Frontier of India, participating in the Chitral (1895) and Tirah (1897) Expeditions.
