9 mm Sten Mk II sub machine gun, 1941
The 9 mm Sten sub-machine gun was used by British and Commonwealth soldiers throughout World War Two (1939-1945). It had a simple design and comparatively low production cost using simple pressed metal components and minor welding. It was not popular with soldiers as the magazine often jammed when being used in battle and it was prone to fire accidentally when dropped.
