Regimental medal, 13th (1st Somersetshire) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry), 1825-1840

This medal is one of a series of four awarded by the 13th Foot for Good Conduct. This example was issued for seven years' good conduct, but there were also awards issued for 10, 14 and 20 years.

Very few examples of 13th Foot good conduct medals are known, indeed the type recorded for 10 years has no known examples.
