Field service cap worn by Trooper J C Wrench, Southern Provinces Mounted Rifles, 1939 (c)

The Field Service Cap was authorised for wear 'in the field and when on peacetime manoeuvres'. A convenient feature of this cap is that it can be easily stored by folding it over the belt or tucking it into an epaulette.
