Soldiers serving in Egypt were always keen to visit and photograph Egypt's historic landmarks. In this image, the officers and men of the 42nd (Royal Highland) Regiment of Foot pose for a photograph next to the mysterious Sphinx. The Great Pyramid of Cheops can be seen in the distance.
