All metal pocket knife, 1952
This knife is made of steel and has two blades. One has a simple knife edge, ground sharp, the other is a tin opener with finger nail slots; a divider between the blades projects forward as a screwdriver head when the blades are folded. It is inscribed with War Department marks for 1952.
First issued during World War Two (1939-1945) this type of knife was re-introduced in 1952. A simpler design than the larger clasp knife with plastic scales, which continued to be issued, it is still in use today.
