Argentine Colt Sistema 11.25 mm Mod. 1927, self-loading pistol, 1982 (c)

This pistol was captured during the Falklands War (1982). Colt Sistema pistols were based on and almost identical to the US military Colt M1911 A1 pistols. They were produced under Colt licence in Argentina for the Argentine government, by the Direccion General Fabricaciones Militares - Fabrica Militar de Armas Portatiles (DGFM-FMAP). They were superseded by the Ballester Molina self-loading pistol.
