Converted Lee Enfield Mk I .303 inch bolt action rifle, 1916 (c)
This weapon has been privately converted into a parapet rifle and fitted with a Fulton target grade barrel. It allowed soldiers to fire over the lip of a trench without exposing themselves to the enemy. The upper mirror looked along the sights of a rifle. Its image was reflected in the lower mirror, into which the soldier looked.
