This sketch was produced by one of the illustrators who worked extensively for the illustrated newspaper, 'The Graphic'. Another of his illustrations of this camp was published in that publication on 11 October 1902. Jan Hoynck van Papendrecht specialised in sketching military subjects and he drew ceremonial events, reviews and camps in a number of European countries.
