Sleeve badge worn by The Queen's Own Hussars, showing the crest of the city of Warsaw, 1958 (c)
The regiment inherited this sleeve badge from their predecessor unit the 7th Hussars. The latter had fought with the 2nd Polish Corps in Italy during World War Two (1939-1945) and been granted the privilege of wearing the Maid of Warsaw for their 'magnificent work and fine examples of heroism and successful action'.
