'The Presentation of Colours to the First Battalion, The Dorsetshire Regiment, by His Excellency The Viceroy at Sialkot, on 14th November 1936'

Printed programme with the Dorsetshire Regiment regimental badge and two colour illustrations of regimental colour parties, one in Home Service uniform, one in tropical uniform. The pamphlet lists the Dorsetshire Regiment's battle honours.

'Primus in Indi'. 'First in India', is the motto of the Dorsetshire Regiment, and refers to the deployment of the regiment to India in 1754. 1st Battalion began an eleven year deployment to India in 1927.

The Viceroy of India at the time of the presentation of colours at Sialkot in the Punjab, was Victor Alexander John Hope, 2nd Marquess of Linlithgow (1887-1952).
