A Bren gunner in the Burmese jungle, 1944

A soldier of the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Welch Fusiliers, rests beside his Bren gun during the taking of the village of Pintha in North Burma on 18 October 1944. The battalion was serving as part of 29th Infantry Brigade in the 36th Division.
