Lieutenant-Colonel (later General Sir) David Graham Muschet Campbell (1869-1936) and the 9th Lancers charge Prussian Dragoons at Moncel during the 1st Battle of the Marne on 7 September 1914. Campbell was nicknamed 'Soarer', after the horse he won the Grand National on, in 1896.
