A 6 Pounder anti-tank crew of the 4th (Hallamshire) Battalion, York and Lancaster Regiment, in position guarding the road to Willemstad against possible counter-attacks, Holland, 8 November 1944. The German garrison refused the offer of surrender but a brief truce was sanctioned to allow civilians to escape.
