Other ranks' forage cap worn by Private W T Rowley, 1st Huntingdonshire Light Horse Volunteers, 1870 (c)
The regiment was raised in 1860 as the Duke of Manchester's Light Horse Volunteers by the Duke of Manchester at Kimbolton. By 1865 when the then Prince of Wales became Colonel there were four troops, at Bedford, Shambroke, Kimbolton and Cambridge. Rowley served with 'D' (Cambridge) Troop. The regiment was disbanded in 1882.
