Group portrait, 'A' Squadron, 2/1 Suffolk Yeomanry, 1916

2/1st The Duke of York's Own Loyal Suffolk Hussars (Territorial Force) was formed as a second line regiment in September 1914 and never saw action overseas. In early 1916, the unit became part of 13th Mounted Brigade, under 4th Mounted Division, stationed near Colchester. The Regiment became part of the 5th Cyclist Brigade in July 1916.
