In times of peace it was difficult to recruit men into the British Army on ideological grounds and rare to find those motivated simply by the desire to serve King and country. This poster therefore depicts soldiers in tropical dress, on the deck of a troopship, looking at a warship steaming out of Gibraltar, and focuses on the travel opportunities available in the Army.
