Senninbari obtained by the 11th Sikh Regiment, 1945
As they seized enemy positions during their advance into central Burma, 14th Army's soldiers began to acquire personal belongings of Japanese soldiers. These included 'Senninbari' - one-thousand stitch belts made by Japanese women in order to bring good fortune to their loved ones. The owner of this belt was killed at Kabwet during the Battle of Meiktila-Mandalay (January-March 1945).
