Safe conduct pass, 1952 (c)
This pass, distributed by the United Nations (UN) during the Korean War (1950-1953), guaranteed any Communist soldier who surrendered to UN troops good treatment as a prisoner of war. In a conflict which was highly ideological, Capitalist against Communist, a greater effort than ever before was made to persuade the enemy to lay down his arms.
