Indian Army gunners fire a breech loading 5.5 inch Medium Field Gun during a post-war demonstration. On the partition of British India in August 1947 the regiment's assets and personnel were divided in a two to one ratio between the Royal Indian Artillery and the Royal Pakistan Artillery.
