British Yeomanry and Australian Light Horse at Es Salt, 1918 (c)
Photograph, World War One, Egypt and Palestine (1914-1918), 1918 (c).
The man standing alone next to his horse in the centre-right foreground is clearly wearing an Australian Commonwealth pattern blouse and a slouch hat, and the man standing in the window to the upper left also appears to be an Australian Light Horseman, possibly an officer (shoulder colour patch is evident, as is a slouch hat). There also appears to be other Australian Light Horsemen tending to their horses along the left side of the street.
From album of 516 photographs compiled by Brig John Gilbert Browne (b 1879), 1916-1919; associated with 14th (King's) Hussars, Mediterranean Expeditionary Force and Egyptian Expeditionary Force.
