Pair of boots, desert, DMS, worn by Warrant Officer 2 W Smart, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, 1991
Manufactured in suede and canvas with a brown rubber direct moulded sole (DMS).
Footwear worn by Smart during the Gulf War (1990-1991). These boots were hastily put into production on the deployment of British Forces to the deserts of Kuwait in 1990. At that point only the issued combat high boot in black leather was available. This boot followed the same form and dimensions of that boot.
From a collection of uniform items worn by Warrant Officer 2 W Smart, Royal Army Ordnance Corps.
