Members of 1/1st Buckinghamshire Yeomanry (Royal Bucks Hussars) at their desert camp, 1915

Photograph, World War One, Egypt and Palestine (1914-1918), 1914.

When this photograph was taken the Royal Bucks were engaged against the pro-Turkish Senussi Arabs who had risen up against the British in the Western Desert. The Yeomanry were the mounted arm of the Territorial Force.
