Mark 6 combat helmet and cover, Gulf War, 1990-1991

Nylon fibre helmet and fabric cover, 1990 (c).

The Mark 6 British Army universal pattern helmet was introduced from 1985. The Mark 6 and Mark 6A models were replaced by the Mark 7 helmet from 2009. This example has a desert pattern camouflage cover attached, as used in Operations DESERT SHIELD and DESERT STORM (1990-1991).
