Leather jerkin, 1941 (c)
Sleeveless leather jerkins like this became standard issue during the First World War. They gave greater arm movement whilst still keeping you warm. This Second World War example belonged to Lieutenant R Parkin-Ashton of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps.
