The Women's Auxiliary Corps (Burma) was established in January 1942 and performed similar duties to Britain's Auxiliary Territorial Service. These included driving, running mobile canteens, clerical and cipher work and ferrying supplies for the 14th Army. Consisting mainly of British and Australian women, the corps was disbanded in 1946.
