Other ranks' cap badge, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), 1990 (c)

This regiment was formed in 1969 by amalgamating the Royal Horse Guards with The Royal Dragoons (1st Dragoons), both dating back to the mid-17th century. Today, it is the second most senior unit in the Army's order of precedence.
