Regimental drill medal, 19th Middlesex (St Giles' and St George's Bloomsbury) Volunteer Battalion, The Rifle Brigade, 1907

This medal was awarded to 'A' Company as a 1st Prize in the regimental drill competition. Medals such as these recognised the importance of military skills and instilled a competitive atmosphere, which helped improve standards.
