Allied Victory Medal 1914-19 awarded to Captain A M C McReady Diarmid VC, 17th (Service) Battalion, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment)
Circular, bronze medal designed by William McMillan with a figure of Winged Victory holding a palm branch on the obverse. On the reverse, the inscription, 'The Great War for Civilisation 1914-1919', within a laurel wreath. The medal is suspended from a double rainbow coloured medal ribbon.
Allastair Malcom Cluny McReady-Diarmid was awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously for his actions in the Moeuvres Sector on the Western Front, on 30 November and 1 December 1917. His name appears on the Cambrai Memorial at Louveral.
