General Kamio Mitsuomi leading the Allies into Tsingtao, November 1914

The German naval base of Tsingtao (Qingdao) in China was captured by the Allies on 7 November 1914 following a two month siege. General Kamio Mitsuomi commanded the 20,000 Japanese troops who took part in the operation.
