The Royal New Zealand Army Medical Corps evacuates a wounded soldier in a 'whirlybird', an American H-13 Sioux helicopter. The Korean War was the first conflict in which helicopters were widely used.
From an album of 110 photographs mainly taken by Lieutenant (later Maj) Geoffrey Norton, 1st Battalion Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge's Own), 1950-1951.
