Jimson the mule, 1904

Jimson was the mascot of the 2nd Battalion, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment). He is shown here wearing his medals on his harness, which included the Indian Medal 1895, Queen's South Africa Medal and the King's South Africa Medal.
