United Nations Korea Medal 1950-1954, Corporal R D Weaver, Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge's Own), 1950-1951

Bronze medal with United Nations emblem on the obverse, bar with the title 'Korea'. On the reverse, the inscription, 'For Service in Defence of the Principles of the Charter of the United Nations; suspended on a light blue and white striped ribbon.

In addition to the Korea Medal 1950-53, those who served in the Korean War (1950-1953) were eligible to receive the United Nations Korea Medal. This medal covered the period up to 27 July 1954, so could be awarded alone to personnel who served in Korea after the Armistice in July 1953.
